Title: The Magic of “Bbobbo”: Rituals that Build a Beautiful Year
In Korea, there is a very famous children’s song called “Bbobbo Bbobbo” (meaning “Kiss Kiss Kiss”). The lyrics are simple: “Kiss when we wake up to say hello, and kiss again when we part to say see you soon”. Today, I found myself reflecting on these words and the “magic” they bring to my mornings.
As an IT manager often immersed in complex systems and data, I’ve realized that the most powerful “algorithms” in life are actually the simplest ones—like a morning ritual with loved ones. These small moments of affection act as a catalyst, transforming an ordinary day into something filled with positive energy.
My goal for this year is to let these “Bbobbo-like” days stack up. In project management, we talk about the accumulation of small tasks leading to a major milestone. Life is no different. By ensuring that today, tomorrow, and every day this week starts with this little bit of magic, I am building a year defined by joy and stability.
To those studying Korean: the word 매직 (Magic) and the phrase 쌓일 것 같습니다 (I think they will stack up) are key today. They represent the hope that consistent, positive actions will lead to a fulfilling life.
I am grateful for the small rituals that anchor my “Big Flow”. Let’s keep making magic, one morning at a time.
