Daily Reflection #18

Title: The Integrity of Planning: How Commitment Brings Stability

In the world of software development and project management, we are constantly making plans and reaching agreements. We define milestones, set deadlines, and agree on deliverables. But I’ve realized that a plan is only as strong as the integrity of the people behind it.

Once a plan is made and an agreement is reached, the real work begins: the effort to keep that promise. However, life and technology are unpredictable. If a change is necessary, the solution isn’t to rush or hide—it’s to discuss and renegotiate. Open communication is the safety valve of any successful project.

Today, I reminded myself to stay calm. Instead of being driven by impatience, I am focusing on “setting the right direction” as my primary criteria for execution. When my actions are aligned with my words and the direction is correct, a profound sense of stability settles into both my mind and my daily life.

As a father to Yuan and Chae-E, I want to model this reliability. I want them to see that keeping a promise and communicating honestly about changes are the building blocks of a peaceful life. Let’s move forward today, not necessarily at the fastest speed, but in the truest direction.
