Title: Metamorphosis of Success: Thought, Action, and the Power of Waiting
As we move through April, my monthly goals are steadily progressing. In both software development and life, I’ve learned that execution is only part of the equation. Lately, I find myself focusing on the relationships that will define my journey through July. My strategy is simple: think deeply, execute precisely, and then—perhaps the hardest part—wait.
The story of the caterpillar, the pupa, and the butterfly is a matter of interpretation. To some, the pupa stage looks like a lack of progress. But as an engineer and a father, I know that this “waiting time” is when the real transformation happens deep inside. Whether it’s nurturing a new project or watching my children, Yuan and Chae-E, grow, I am learning to appreciate the stillness of the process.
I am also incredibly touched to hear that my daily reflections are helping many people around the world learn the Korean language. Knowing that my personal notes serve a greater purpose adds a new layer of value to my writing routine.
Success isn’t just about the final flight; it’s about the patience we show while our wings are still forming. Let’s continue to execute and wait with grace.
