Daily Reflection #21

Title: Seeing the Core: Comets, Omens, and the Power of a Sharp Mind

In the world of IT and project management, the only constant is change. Situations shift suddenly—requirements change, deadlines move, and technical hurdles appear out of nowhere. My philosophy has always been simple: keep your mind alert and focus on the “core” or the essence of the problem. When you strip away the noise and see the essence, things start to fall into place.

Interestingly, I had a small but meaningful experience a few days ago. I saw something in the sky that looked like a comet. Whether it was a literal celestial event or just a rare trick of light, I’ve chosen to interpret it as a “good omen” (좋은 징조).

I believe that the “signs” we see in our lives are often reflections of our internal state. Because I am focusing on positive growth and maintaining my “Big Flow,” I am able to see the world through a hopeful lens. As a father to Yuan and Chae-E, I want to teach them that while we cannot control the wind, we can always control how we set our sails and how we perceive the stars.

Today, I’m moving forward with a sharpened mind and a heart full of gratitude for that “comet.” Success is what happens when preparation meets opportunity—and perhaps, a little bit of cosmic luck.
